Basundi

A sweet dish made from reduced milk and dry fruits

Ingredients

Milk 1 litre
Mava (khoya) 100 gm
Sugar 250 to 300 gm
Cardamom powder ˝ teaspoon
Nutmeg powder ź teaspoon
Almonds 4 tablespoon (chopped)
Pistachio 3 tablespoon (chopped)

Procedure

Boil the milk over a low flame till it reduces to ž litre. Add sugar to it and reduce a bit. Take some cold milk in a cup and mix the mave well in it. Add this mixture to the boiling milk. Keep on the flame for five minutes more and add cardamom and nutmeg powders. Garnish with almond and pistachio.

Personal Touch

Serve hot or cold. Sweetness can be varied as per requirement
