Poppy seeds (Khuskhus) |
1 Teaspoon |
Cardamom |

Nutmeg |

Procedure |
|
Soak rava in warm milk for an hour.
Add sugar, oil, khuskhus, cardamom, nutmeg, raisins & charoli and mix gently.
Leave the mixture for a further ½ hour. The mixture should
be of dropping consistency.

Fill the appa pan with oil till the
surface of the depressions and let it heat. When the oil becomes boiling hot, test
it by
adding the mixture for 1 appa only. Fry this appa on low flame for
some time and check that the appa's lower side becomes golden brown in colour. If it
does then add
the mixture to the remaining depressions. Fry them till they become brown in
colour. |
